    The Job

    Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for CT Technologists I/II* who perform CT Exams. Technologists administer intravenous and oral contrast and observe patients for signs or symptoms of adverse reactions; complete all necessary paperwork; provide quality customer service and practice safety standards and radiation protection, while providing high quality images and examinations in a fast paced trauma center as part of a team of physicians and registered nurses.

    Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist I
    Annual Salary: $68,099.20 - $91,312.00
    Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist II
    Annual Salary: $81,744.00 - $112,465.60

    Specialty Differential: Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist II's who possess and maintain licenses/certifications required to provide care to patients in both MRI and CT units, and who make themselves available to work in those units, shall receive a differential of five percent above their base hourly rate for all hours actually worked.

    **NOTE: This recruitment will also be used to fill Per Diem positions as needed. The below benefits do not apply to Per Diem positions. Hours vary for Per Diem positions depending on the needs of the department. Please be sure to indicate availability on the supplemental questionnaire.

    Modified Benefit Option (MBO): This benefit option provides full-time employees in

    eligible classifications the opportunity to earn a higher hourly rate of pay (above base pay).

    ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER


    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.

    Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.

    On-call Schedule: Incumbents scheduled to be on-call must be able to arrive to the hospital within 1 hour after receiving a call. Incumbents must indicate a willingness to accept and be able to arrive within 1 hour for assignments. Please refer to the MOU for additional details and compensation (Page 117).

    Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In addition, CDPH Public Health Officer Orders updated on February 22, 2022 requires all workers in health care settings currently eligible for boosters, who provide services or work in the impacted facilities must be “fully vaccinated and boosted” for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022.     Vaccination Exemptions: Upon hire, candidates will be required to submit proof of vaccination including the booster dose or request an exemption from the vaccination and booster requirements based on either religious belief or medical reasons.

    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates must possess all of the following:

    Certification:
    • Must be certified by the State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist
    • CRT/Fluoroscopy issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health
    • Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • Venipuncture Certification for contrast media

    Registration:
    • Must possess registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and i n Computerized Tomography (CT)

    Experience:
    • Special Procedures RT I: No experience Required (Trainee level)
    • Special Procedures RT II: One (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist -OR- Six (6) months of supervised Computerized Tomography (CT) clinical experience.


    Desired Qualifications

    Candidates with experience performing CT scans in a trauma center are highly desired.
