Position Description
The Healthcare IT Business Analyst I is responsible for assisting with application support for various health IT systems and provide helpdesk support for clinical departments. Additional responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and developing data relative to business needs and documenting business processes, assisting with coordination of specialized technology solutions, communicating work-flows to end users and assisting with departmental procedures.

Major/Essential Functions
Processes all release of information requests (medical records) as well as receives, processes, and properly indexes incoming medical records into the EHR systems. Ensures timely, accurate, and thorough responses to all incoming and outgoing requests. Communicates effectively and efficiently with both external and internal customers. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA regulations. Provides support to the campus EHR division and communicates effectively with application end-users and patients.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required plus one (1) year related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience.
