The Position

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.

Silver State Health Insurance Exchange seeks a Management Analyst 2 to join the team in Carson City. Under the direction of the Management Analyst III, this position serves as an organizational expert on healthcare policy and assists to counsel management and staff on policy impact. This position supports Exchange public policy efforts by tracking Federal and State legislation and relating impacts to the program and recommends strategies to effectively address the issues. The Silver State Health Insurance Exchange is required to support and implement policies, rules, or regulations published by both State and Federal organizations and legislative bodies. This position is responsible for creating policy documents for internal consumers facing and stakeholder clarity as well as enforcing broker compliance for certified brokers across the state of NV. This position conducts internal electronic platform user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure eligibility functionality and compliance of the enrollment platform and assists with consumer appeals and complaint resolutions as required or necessary. To Qualify:

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Special Requirements This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment. The Examination Application Evaluation Exam The exam will consist of an application evaluation.
