THE POSITION
We invite you to join the high performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as our Facilities Manager within the Public Works Department. This position is responsible for administrative oversight, visioning, leadership, planning, coordinating and control of the Facilities Division to ensure essential services are provided to maintain the public infrastructure. Examples of Duties

In this position you will:
  • Oversee building maintenance contracted services and asset renewal project management functions and administer the computerized asset management system.
  • Manage programs related to facilities operations maintenance, building automation and control systems, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, exterior maintenance, custodial, and energy management.
  • Assist the Deputy Director with activities, job duties, and assignments related to the Facilities Division; assist employees with complex trades activities and/or maintenance jobs.
  • Identify and support professional development of Facilities and Custodial Maintenance employees in alignment with performance goals and the necessary skills to achieve objectives.
  • Develop and maintain facility preventative maintenance programs and processes, including capital replacement plans, building condition index, assessment, and schedule.
  • Direct interdepartmental building maintenance and improvement projects, including energy conservation, renovations and repairs.
  • Meet with professional engineers, architects, and contractors for pre-design information related to the remodeling of existing facilities and the construction of new Town facilities and parks.


Typical Qualification

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering or related field of study with a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a building trades and contracting experience. The Town may consider an equivalent combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the job. Three (3) years of supervisor experience required.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and ability to pass the fingerprint background check through the Police Department.
  • Skill in analyzing complex administrative information and issues, defining problems and evaluating alternatives and recommending methods, procedures, and techniques for resolution of issues.
  • Knowledge of computer software such as asset tracking/work order systems.
Desired Professional Certifications:
International Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. HVAC Certification or equivalent experience with EPA Certification.

Compensation:
The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high performance culture. The Town package includes a no-cost to individual health insurance plan and a generous retirement package including participation in the Arizona State Retirement System.
The salary range is $77,542 to $108,555.
The expected hiring range is $77,542 to $89,169.
