Pay Range: $75,314 - $97,908 annual compensation

A Sr. Process Improvement Analyst job is available with the City of Fort Worth Water Department’s Management Services Division in our Organizational Development section. This position will provide complex analytical and administrative support, and oversee/conduct research and benchmark analyses. You will also utilize your experience to work effectively across the department to help implement major enterprise-wide initiatives. This individual must be organized with the ability to multi-task, set priorities to meet multiple deadlines, and work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Organizational Development, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field
  • Four (4) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, benchmark studies or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification or Training
  • Knowledge of IBM Blueworks Live, Microsoft Visio or related business process modeler applications
  • Experience with project lead facilitation and coordination
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the “Effective Utility Management” framework

The Sr. Process Improvement Analyst job responsibilities include:
  • Prepare, develop, analyze and provide recommendations for organizational structures, work methods and procedures, management control systems and unit productivity.
  • Coordinate annual surveys, benchmarking efforts, and performance measures and metrics.
  • Collaborate with the department staff in maintaining the business performance plan key performance indicators and priority initiatives.
  • Assist in ensuring the alignment of goals and initiatives within the EUM (Effective Utility Management) framework.
  • Perform process re-engineering studies for the divisions including the use of Lean Six Sigma concepts.
  • Facilitate interactive, engaging and solution focused group meetings with participants that involve various levels of management and external customers.
  • Conduct interviews with personnel to identify functional areas; map process and work flows to improve efficiencies; administer skills assessments; prepare clear and concise reports; and identify problem/opportunity areas.
  • Perform business optimization reviews and facilitate solutions.
  • Occasional local travel to perform activities that may include, but not limited to, process re-engineering studies and the facilitation of off-site meetings.
  • Work with senior leaders on strategic forecasting and alignment of goals and initiatives.
