This position will be located at the Southwest Regional Office, 2040 West Woodland, Springfield, MO 65807.

  • Conduct land disturbance inspections of permitted sites in the region
  • Conduct stormwater inspections
  • Conduct environmental concern investigations related to land disturbance and stormwater.
  • Draft inspection/investigation reports in a timely manner and perform follow-up enforcement actions.
  • Provide compliance assistance to permit holders and the general public

  • A valid Missouri State Driver’s License


Equivalent to those typically gained by:

  • Ability to conduct site inspection over uneven and rough terrain while carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, physical sciences, or a closely related field, and 0 - 4 or more years of relevant experience.

Professional Experience to be Gained:

  • Knowledge of general water pollution control requirements
  • General knowledge and experience with overall Department operations
