Position Description
Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides primary administrative support for the Executive Associate Dean for GME &Resident Affairs for GME and non-clinical associated work. Supports the Managing Director and Assistant Managing Director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the TTUHSC SOM Graduate Medical Education Office.
  • Assist Executive Associate Dean for GME and Resident Affairs with scheduling, travel reimbursement processing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Communicate with the Managing Director and Assistant Managing Director on a daily basis and completing projects as requested in a timely manner.
  • Communicating on a daily basis with residents, residency coordinators, program directors, and other TTUHSC staff and faculty in the course of daily duties as needed. Take direction from Assistant Managing Director a on special projects
  • Answer inquiries by phone, email, and in person, from residents, faculty, program directors, chairs, and SOM and TTUHSC staff as well as prepare correspondence.
  • Maintain GME data management system (New Innovations/MedHub), under direction of Assistant Managing Director.


Required Qualifications
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
