Position Description
Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Major/Essential Functions
The Analyst (Budget and Financial Focus) is responsible for managing the financial and budgetary operations of the
Office of Accredited Interprofessional Continuing Medical Education.This includes budget preparation, financial analysis, fiscal affairs, and maintaining financial records. The role requires close interaction with the Managing Director and other departmental staff to ensure financial stability and effective resource management.
  1. Develop and manage the department's annual budget. Prepare budget projections and monitor budget performance. Provide re-budget advice and financial planning to the Managing Director.
  2. Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records for departmental revenue and expenses. Generate and analyze financial reports using the Banner system and Cognos reports. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review by the Managing Director.
  3. Manage the invoicing process for CME fees, educational grants, exhibit fees, and other revenue streams. Ensure timely and accurate deposits of cash, checks, and credit card payments.
  4. Oversee departmental purchasing, including equipment, supplies, and services.
  5. Ensure adherence to university policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all financial activities. Maintain confidentiality and security of financial data.
  6. Participate in internal and external audits as required. Implement risk management strategies to safeguard departmental resources.
  7. Assist in meeting the Joint Accreditation defined Educational Leadership criterion by partaking in continuous professional development relevant to CME/CPD enterprise. Provide financial training and support to departmental staff. Stay updated with financial best practices and regulatory changes.
  8. Serves as unit safety officer.
  9. Assist in the development and financial management of accredited continuing education programs.
  10. Oversees property inventory management.
  11. Supports the production of educational activities.
  12. Serve as proofreader and reviewer of published materials for OAICME.


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in job related field plus one year of related experience.
OR
A combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years.
