Job Description

Job Summary:

Under general direction, this position will collaborate on program compliance and attestations/onboarding documents for the CEP, RN-BSN and MSN. The incumbent will provide coordination to the program including, but not limited to, program admissions, providing support program leadership with data for accreditation, providing BRN reports, maintaining databases for program outcomes, faculty outcomes, student outcomes, student rosters, progression, retention, completion, employment rates, and maintaining NCLEX stats file.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Coordination of the clerical and administrative support functions of the nursing program admissions processes.
  • Clinical Compliance - Maintain all compliance and attestations/onboarding documents for the CEP, RN-BSN and the MSN programs. Duties include, but is not limited to: initial organization of all data and spreadsheet, updating all information for new students after orientation, and annually updating spreadsheets and files for existing students. For faculty, update their spreadsheet and files when they are first hired and continue to update spreadsheet and files every year, thereafter.
  • BRN Public Health Certification Processing - Collect and file student academic and faculty documents in the CEP, RN-BSN and MSN programs as directed by the department chair and/or program directors.
  • Provide administrative support to the CEP, RN-BSN and MSN program directors and department chair.
  • Assist in RN-BSN/MSN admissions and orientation.
  • Regulatory Database - Prepare BRN forms for each student in the graduating class and complete the Program Candidate Roster form and mail entire signature package with a signature confirmation.
  • Outcome Database - Maintain database for RN-BSN/MSN - program outcomes, faculty outcomes, student outcomes, student rosters, progression, retention, completion, employment rates, maintain NCLEX stats file.
  • Student list serve - Maintain listserv, which includes remove graduating classes and adding input new student cohorts. Maintain alumni listservs.
  • Preceptor list - update and maintain preceptor profiles. • Notification - submit acceptance and denial notification to students.
  • Committee Meetings - Attend and take the meeting minutes for the CEP, RN-BSN, and MSN programs.
  • Conduct RN-BSN/MSN Information Sessions.
  • Other classification-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or its equivalent AND three years of progressively responsible experience in general office clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience to be fully functional in all technical aspects of work assignments.
  • Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects.
  • Ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist.
  • Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform standard business math, such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data, and make simple projections.
  • Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports.
  • Ability to handle effectively a broader range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar enterprise-wide application is desirable. Experience in higher education and administrative support preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Anticipated Hiring Range: $3,680 per month

Classification Salary Range: $3,680 - $5,783 per month

The salary offered will take into account internal equity and experience among other factors.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Position Information:

Work status: Full-time/Non-Exempt/Probationary

Academic year schedule: Monday through Friday (8:00 am - 5:00 pm), some evenings/weekends.

Summer schedule: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm), some evenings/weekends.
