Minimum Qualifications
Engineer A
Education and/or Equivalent Experience: - Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years of engineering experience acquired before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.
Licenses or Certifications:- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas; or if currently licensed in another state, must have the ability to obtain a Texas P.E. license within six (6) months of employment.

Position Overview:The Capital Delivery Services Department Engineering Services Division serves as an in-house engineering consulting team providing hands-on design of city capital improvement projects ( CIP ) that includes street reconstruction and roadway design, sidewalks/ ADA projects, urban trails, water/wastewater/reclaimed water renewal and drainage/stormwater improvement projects. This position designs, signs and seals design and construction documents and serves as the engineer of record for CIP projects in accordance with the Texas Engineering Practices Act.

Travel: The Capital Delivery Services Department is comprised of multiple facilities located throughout Austin. If you are selected for this position, and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Record Evaluation (

Pay Range
Eng A: $38.97 - $50.67
Eng B: $41.70 - $54.21

Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
