Description The purpose of this job is to provide Airport Roadway Signage wayfinding expertise to assist in managing the day-to-day activities of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (H-JAIA) Roadway Signage & Graphics program as part of the Planning & Development Bureau, within the Department of Aviation (DOA). This Signage Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Architecture and provides technical design support to ensure that the roadway wayfinding functions effectively by enforcing established signage standards, performing field surveys, developing signage plans and layouts, providing signage design reviews, and coordinating with the airport’s Director of Signage and stakeholders.
Minimum Training and Experience Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Aviation Planning, Architecture, Engineering or a directly related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in planning and/or project management, including aviation experience at an airport.
Preferred Education & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Graphic Design or Industrial Design.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the design, development, and implementation of signing & graphics systems (Airport signage experience is preferable).
