Position Description
This position is responsible for providing technical support in the histology laboratory. Employees in this position process, embed, cut, stain, and prepare tissue sides for pathologist to review for diagnostic evaluations.

Major/Essential Functions
The individual will work closely with MOHS dermatologists and other dermatology faculty to meet the historic needs of clinical MOHS surgery.
This individual will need a strong background in dermatology experience and knowledge of cutting, staining, and preparing slides for academic faculty members.

Individuals will be working primarily independently and need independent working knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot the needs of MOHS cuts.

Individuals will report directly to the Nursing Manager and be backup clinic help during downtime. This individual will work closely with the MOHS scheduler to schedule patients accurately and efficiently according to MOHS Surgeon preference. This individual may be required to assist with grossing or slide preparation in Dermatopathology.

Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Four years of experience, of which 2 years are in a histology department having fixation, microtomy, processing, staining and gross room.
