Position Description
The Technical Trainer is both an experienced educator in professional settings as well as a technical expert of their field. This role will require a significant amount of research in growing trends of their area of expertise, as well as trends in talent development and adult education in professional settings. They will need to be quick on their feet to adapt and change directions with the needs of the industry, the department they support, or the measured and defined needs of the institution. From research, development, measurement, and improvement, the Technical Trainer takes on the full responsibility of the value, retention, and clearly defined success metrics of their curriculums.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with clinics, central departments, other key stakeholders to assess ongoing and future training development needs.
  • Design, planning, and implementation of training programs aligned with the objectives of projects/educational needs.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managers, instructors, or customer representatives.
  • Evaluate modes of training delivery, such as in-person or virtual, to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, or environmental impacts.
  • Guiding and implementing a team projects.


Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree with 2 years of training experience in a technical or clinical setting; OR a combination of education and/or training experience to equal 6 years.
