Job Description

Pay Range: $15.45/hr. - $17.27//hr.

A courier job is available with the Fort Worth Public Library. We are seeking a reliable, hard-working team member to transport library books and materials between library locations around the city of Fort Worth.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of delivery/driver experience.

For jobs that require additional screens include under minimum qualifications:
  • Must pass Drug Screen
  • Must have clean motor vehicle record.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Customer service experience
  • Delivery experience

The Courier’s job responsibilities include:
  • Sorting library materials
  • Loading a box truck with a liftgate
  • Delivering materials to library locations around the city
  • Inspecting truck at the beginning and end of shift to make sure it is in good working order.

Working Conditions and Physical Demand as stated on official City job description
  • Employees in this position are required to exert 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
