MESA is focused on students from groups who historically have had the lowest levels of attainment to four-year and graduate level programs.

The MESA Program Coordinator will lead communications for the program, publicizing and promoting the program to audiences including students, teachers, families, school district leadership, and Cal State East Bay Campus leadership. They will manage regular communication between Center leadership and the students and teachers served. They will serve as the primary point of contact for students who participate in the program.

The MESA Program Coordinator will lead Engagement Activities for students and families participating in the College Prep Program including the student leadership program, virtual act ivies throughout the year, ad hoc competitions between chapters, and College and Career preparatory activities. In addition, the MESA Program Coordinator will support the Director in data collection and report writing, management and distribution of materials and supplies and event planning and execution. The MESA Program Coordinator will represent the Cal State East Bay East Bay MESA Center at monthly state-wide Coordinator meetings.
