Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Department Chair, the Clinical Support Coordinator collaborates to provide administrative support in the School of Nursing facilitating clinical placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Administrative Tasks for Graduate Preceptorships and Clinical Placements: Process and complete required institutional paperwork for students.
  • Maintain Student & Alumni Database. Maintain an electronic list of all past and current student placements by specialty/offsite locations.
  • Assist Graduate Program Director w/ Admissions Administrative Tasks. Assist SSPII and Graduate Program Director with applications, interviews, and enrollment of graduate program students.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Experience with a variety of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft/Oracle, databases, e-mail, and the Internet. Must have strong skills at composing letters, memos, and office correspondence. Possess a thorough knowledge of standard office methods, practices, and procedures. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures. Strong customer service skills, including telephone and e-mail communication.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Education and Experience
  • Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required. Two years of experience in a student support setting preferred. At least one year experience in identifying and coordinating clinical preceptorships or a similar activity preferred.

Physical Summary

Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $3,680 - $4,732 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,680 - $5,783 per month.

Time Base

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.

Duration of Appointment

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
