This position will assist Sand Hill and Decker Creek Power Station (Decker) with supporting quality assurance, continual improvement, and risk mitigation activities for both plants.

This position assist in reviewing power plant processes and procedures. The position, under the direction of the plant manager, will assist with projects related to the development or improvement of organizational programs, processes, and systems and assist with the development and implementation of continual improvement training activities. In addition, the position will Assists with risk mitigation evaluations to improve organizational performance. This position will serve both power plants and assist in reviewing risk documentation that arise due to inspections and plant trips and failures.

Other Duties:

- Assist in reviewing the quality of operations and maintenance records.

- Assist implementing training for plant personnel for continuous improvement.

- Develop/review processes and procedures for improving work and preventative maintenance activities.

- Create work orders, purchase requests, and purchase orders.

This position has been designated as a Critical Employee position. Critical Employees are considered necessary and vital and supports activities that impact City or department operations. This work can be done while at a designated work site or while working at an alternate work location. Critical employees who are able to work at an alternative work location are required to do so. Schedules may be modified, and employees may be reassigned to another area during extraordinary situations or emergency conditions to provide essential services.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities

Uses quality assurance methodologies to assist with current state analysis assessments. Assists with continuous improvement projects for business units within the organization. Assists with risk mitigation evaluations to improve organizational performance. Assists with assessments of organizational systems and processes. Assists with organizational change efforts. Assists with the development and implementation of continual improvement training activities. Supports the organizations quality center of excellence.
