  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or a related field.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

What you will typically be responsible for:
  • Assisting the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Participating in electrical (power) projects, providing support in design, implementation, and testing.
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Developing project schedules and identifying priority tasks and critical path elements.
  • Managing documentation, organizing meetings, and maintaining records to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the team.
  • Receiving calls, taking messages, and routing correspondence related to instrumentation and controls projects.
  • Handling requests and queries from the Instrumentation and Controls Engineer and other team members appropriately.
  • Assisting in maintaining inventory of instrumentation and electrical components and researching advantageous deals or suppliers.
  • Producing reports, presentations, and briefs related to project progress and system performance.
  • Developing and maintaining an efficient documentation and filing system for all project-related materials.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and current enrollment or a recent graduate of an accredited college, university, or educational institution. No work experience is required.

Licenses and Certifications:

Internships requiring driving as an essential function will require the incumbent to possess a valid California driver license and a satisfactory driving record.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Interns can work on a full-time or part-time basis on a flexible schedule. The candidate selected may start in early Spring of 2024. The maximum number of hours that can be worked is 1,000 hours per fiscal year.

A condition of employment for all CCWD positions includes successfully passing a Department of Justice Livescan fingerprint check and completion of the federal Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9.
