Position Description
This position is responsible for assuring smooth operation of the flow in a correctional facility medical clinic. Employees serve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible for preparing necessary paperwork before patient visits, receiving patients, and maintaining records. In addition, this position may be responsible for coordinating other clinic services, responding to requests for patient information, and maintaining related information for the department. Employees in this classification receive general supervision. Most work is performed according to established procedures; problems of an unusual nature are referred to supervisor. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting in a correctional facility and may require a high degree of contact with patients, facility staff, and other partners.

Major/Essential Functions

Serve as a unit grievance coordinator processing formal and informal grievances and record them in the grievance database.
Responsible for collection, development, and reporting of monthly activity report, census report, grievance report, chronic care report, missed clinic report, and no show report as required by CMHC.
Perform clerical duties for Administration as requested, including taking messages, copies, field routine questions, and special projects.
Serve as backup for other PSS positions in case of absence or leave, as requested by Administration.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years customer service, office or related experience required, with two (2) of those years in a healthcare setting preferred.
