(This is not a state position)

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 8/31/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $5,583-$6,400 per month.

Location: San Bernardino.

Work Schedule

Exempt. 40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM though some nights, and weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Educational Talent Search Director, the Program Manager will work independently to:

General
  • Provide support as needed, requested, and required.
  • Lead direction of the front office, student assistants and day to day coordination.
  • Assist with data collection and evaluation for Events, APR, and other program components.

Event Coordination
  • Plan, Coordinate and Execute all Annual Program Events
  • Collaborate with external partners for planning and event support
  • Make travel arrangements (i.e., reservations, accommodations, per diem requests, expense reports and itineraries) for staff and participants.
  • Manage Event Vendors, including screening and W-9 forms.
  • Coordinate event registration/interest lists, and orientation.
  • Submit, coordinate, and track requests for space, parking, food, printing, and mail services.

Budget Oversight and Expenses
  • Prepare all requests for disbursements, including; bank card authorizations, stipends, check request, mileage, etc.
  • Manage, monitor, and track requests for expenditures and processes for the program, ensuring quality control is maintained.
  • Adhere to established standards in areas of correspondence, fiscal and program compliance, timekeeping procedures, and accounting practices.
  • Ensure all program and funding records are maintained in compliance with Federal and State laws
  • Monitor current fiscal budget and create projections for the next fiscal year.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience:
    • The equivalent of any combination of three years of experience in a general office, clerical, budget, and/or event planning support, preferably in a student service setting, involving direct contact with diverse students and staff.
  • Other:
    • Applicants must possess highly effective oral and written communication
      skills; demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word,

      PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook); ability to handle confidential and sensitive

      information, along with the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group

      of people, exercise judgement, determine priorities, complete assigned projects

      in a timely manner, and work well under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi-lingual speaking applicants are preferred.
