The Job

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is now hiring for an experienced Process Improvement Coordinator in the Compliance Department toorganize, plan, implement, coordinate, and maintain process improvement programs designed to increase efficiency and decrease waste identified in workflow and system processes. This position will report to the Healthcare Program Administrator and assist in leading a team of professional and support staff tasked with the development and implementation of regulatory and Improvement activities including compliance related topics.

Additional duties include:
  • Collaborate with administrators, managers, executive sponsors, and other process owners to evaluate existing processes and systems in support of organizational strategic plans and priorities.
  • Analyze and interpret external and internal information; prepare and present assessments and executive reports and make recommendations; and coordinate and plan improvement projects.
  • Provide staff with development and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Develop educational tools that can be used by managers and staff throughout the hospital.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER


Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Minimum Requirements

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public or Business Administration, or closely related or relevant Healthcare or Quality Management field.

AND

Experience: Three (3) years of experience performing regulatory, quality management or improvement activities in an acute care hospital.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have five (5) years of experience working in an acute care hospital performing quality management, program planning and evaluation of policy development in a compliance department which may include some level of experience with HIPAA, confidential information, ADA, and fraud, waste, and abuse.
