Pay Range: $29.61 - $37.02/hr.

Workdays & Hours: Must be available to work multiple nights each week and Saturdays, as needed.

A Community Engagement Liaison job is available with the City of Fort Worth - Communication and Public Engagement Department. The Community Engagement Liaisonposition provides a link between residents and the City. As one of the faces of the City of Fort Worth, liaisons enhance connectivity by providing information, education and opportunities for the public to engage with the city on key topics and initiatives. This position is fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-changing. The successful candidate will be highly adaptable, independent, professional, energetic and collaborative.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Education, Public Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Social Sciences, Spanish, Marketing, Public Health, Emergency Management or a related field, depending on area of assignment
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in education, communications, public relations, marketing or community engagement
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish)
  • Experience designing and facilitating interactive experiences
  • Experience managing and using databases, survey software, and other technical tools
  • Experience planning and facilitating public, stakeholder, or other similar meetings
  • Experience creating impactful content and communication
  • Familiar with IAP2 spectrum


The Community Engagement Liaison job responsibilities include:
  • Directly engage the public, including organizations such as neighborhood associations, schools and others help them to gain a clear understanding of the City’s many programs, services and processes
  • Plan, organize and coordinate engaging group experiences including classes, workshops, award ceremonies, and other events for large and small audiences
  • Design and facilitate tools and programs that provide residents with opportunities to provide the City with input and feedback on key topics
  • Develop programs and curriculum including content, scheduling, logistics, and delivery
  • Represent the City at community meetings and civic organizations; prepare and deliver presentations regarding assigned and/or timely topics
  • Assist neighborhood and community groups, including providing training and ongoing support
  • Use and maintain technical tools and databases, including compiling and analyzing information
  • Coordinate with all City departments to understand, develop and distribute messaging, collateral and important information in a timely manner
