This position involves extensive field work and will be responsible for enforcing and ensuring compliance with Charleston County Accommodations, Business License, Hospitality, Stormwater, and User Fee ordinances.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $47,528 to $62,296 (Estimated Annual Salary)

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties included but are not limited to: conducting audits of financial records; conducting field inspections; investigating appeals; responding to telephone inquiries; researching and preparing reports; verifying accuracy of income reported on Revenue Collections applications and forms.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field preferred supplemented with one or more years of related experience in accounting or tax preparations.
Minimum Qualification: Minimum of two (2) or more years' experience in a related field, or any combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work. A valid SC driver's license or the ability to obtain one upon acceptance of the position is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with IRS tax forms, SC Department of Revenue tax forms, and municipal and/or state government experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Must have ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines. Customer service and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public are essential. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.Closing Date/Time:
