Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Supervising Health Information Management Assistant who performs supervisory and administrative support work; plans, organizes and coordinates the work of Health Information Management Assistants at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Supervise workflow, assist with and review work procedures, timelines and quality of electronic health record (EHR) information systems and resolve complex discrepancies and issues for subordinates. Incumbents serve as authoritative source on regulations, healthcare laws and interpretation of policies and guidelines; performs related duties as required.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Schedule: 24 hour responsibility, and weekend and holiday availability is required.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates may qualify through one of the following experience options:

OPTION 1
Three (3) years within the last five (5) years of fulltime equivalent medical clerical experience which includes performing a wide variety of difficult and responsible clerical duties.

OPTION 2
Thirty months (30) within the last five (5) years of full-time experience performing a wide variety of difficult and responsible clerical duties in a medical clerical environment of an acute care hospital.

Desired Qualifications

Lead/supervisory experience is highly desired.
