BUSINESS ANALYST II
Administrative Analyst Specialist Exempt
Administration and Finance/Special Projects

Salary Range : $4379 - $7922/Monthly

Work Schedule : Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; exempt classification.

Essential Functions : Under the direction of the administrative operations manager in the division of Administration and Finance, the business analyst will support the department of Business Services and Administration and Finance in providing end user application support in the area’s upgrades, new implementations, problem resolution, reporting (creation and modification), system processes, and training on various Administration and Finance applications (e.g., PeopleSoft, Datawarehouse, Onbase, AdobeSign, etc.). This position will: assist in gathering and analyzing data to support decision-making process; assist in project management; coordinate with departmental team; test business processes and recommend improvements; identify automation opportunities; create reports, dashboards, and visualizations; communicate and validate requirements, develop and maintain reporting tools, and perform data discovery analysis, and modeling. The incumbent will work closely with stakeholders across the university, to develop and implement strategies that align with the campus’ and division's strategic plan, initiatives and end goals. The incumbent will assist in reviewing and analyzing data to assist decision-making for data informed decisions.

Required Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and three years of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Understanding of strategic planning processes and the ability to contribute to data-informed decision-making. Expert knowledge and experience with relational databases, database query (SQL), and reporting tools. Experience with: PeopleSoft, Datawarehouse, Onbase, and AdobeSign; Microsoft Office Suite; and data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Project management skills including excellent problem identification and resolution skills and strong analytical and organizational skills. Detail oriented, with the ability to: interpret and analyze complex data; manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce accurate reports and documentation. Ability to think strategically and align departmental strategies with organizational goals. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. Desired Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Information Technology, Computers and Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Knowledge of administration and financial business practices, policies and procedures in higher education.
