This is a full-time, unclassified position that is appointed by and serves at
the pleasure of the Medical Director for the Department of Corrections
(NDOC).

Approximate Annual Salary:
The approximate annual salary range starts at $151,017. Salary range
reflects retirement (PERS) contributions by the employer, to the employer-
based contribution plan. The State benefits package includes a retirement
system, health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance; 12 paid holidays
and paid sick leave and annual leave. An explanation of the retirement

Position Description:
Under the administrative direction of the Medical Director, for the Nevada
Department of Corrections (NDOC) the incumbent for this position is
responsible for establishing and administering a comprehensive
institutional dental health program.

This position is in the Southern Las Vegas area. This is an open

(NDOC) under the administrative direction of the Medical Director, the
incumbent establishes and administers a comprehensive institutional
dental health program, including examinations and treatment of offender
patients. The clinical performance of professional activities in the
administration of individual treatments of dental problems and issues
affecting the institutional population.

Minimum Qualifications: A valid license to practice dentistry from the
Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners and either: 1) certification as a
diplomat by the American Board of Periodontology or Endodontics; or 2) a
fellowship or mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD); or 3)
three years of professional dentistry experience in a correctional or
comparable setting.
