Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I, the Field Representative (FR) performs training, outreach, and record maintenance duties including, but not limited to: reviewing, evaluating, and monitoring local law enforcement agency (LEA) compliance with the Department of Justice (DOJ) standards relative to the submission and retention of sex and arson offender registration records; organizing and conducting statewide and agency-specific training to LEAs and other criminal justice entities; and performing special projects for the purpose of increasing the accuracy of data entered into various Violent Crime Information Center (VCIC) databases supported by the DOJ. The Senior Utility Service Representative is the advanced working/lead level class in the Utility Service Representative series. Under general supervision, provides lead direction to field representatives assigned to servicing single and multi-family residential, commercial and industrial City water system users; and performs specialized field and public contact work. Workforce Services Reps provide reemployment and eligibility assessment services to Unemployment Insurance claimants. Services provided include help with creating and updating resumes, skills testing and typing tests, job search planning, assisting clients with locating opportunities on the job boards, and assistance in obtaining certifications and work-related items needed to secure employment. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred, but not required. The position is an underfill of a Workforce Services Representative 2 and will progress to the next level upon meeting minimum qualifications and the approval of the appointing authority.
