Major/Essential Functions
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric Surgeon to work in a clinically diverse program, serving a large region of West Texas known as the Texas Panhandle.

The candidate should have exemplary clinical skills, a team spirit, collegiality and an interest in training pediatric residents and medical students. This is a full academic faculty position.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center medical school was recently ranked #1 nationally among graduates as "The best place to learn". Surgical education is a core mission of the school and works closely with two local nationally operated hospitals, with both being designated a Level III Trauma Center. Primary duties include the following:
  • Provide Pediatric Surgery services at UHS- Northwest Texas Hospital and Ardent-BSA Hospital.
  • 2 outpatient clinic days per week
  • Provide training and teaching to residents and medical students.


Occasional Duties


Required Qualifications
MD degree.
Completion of a Pediatric Fellowship.
Board certified within a year from hire date.
