General Description and Classification Standards
Employee performs highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with electrical systems. Electrical work may be performed in a number of areas including runways, taxiways, and security gates. Work involves technical application of electrical principles. This is a fully seasoned skilled level capable of independently carrying out most assignments typical of the discipline. This level would be attainable by multiple incumbents in a work group (not necessarily by all), but would not be an "automatic" promotional level.
Supervision Received
Works under very general supervision. May work independently or with other skilled or semi-skilled workers with responsibility for completion of assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience
Seven years electrical experience and Class II Unrestricted Electrical Contractor License
Preferred Education & Experience
Associates Degree with a course of study Electricity and /or Welding or similar area and 5 year of related experience in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting.
Licensures and Certifications
Class II Unrestricted Electrical Contractor License.
