Work Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm (6 hours)
Work Days: Monday-Friday
Location: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta, GA
Duration of program dates: Thursday, June 6, 2024 - Friday, July 19, 2024
Program Overview:
As part of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's ongoing initiative to engage the community's youth in meaningful employment experiences, we are proud to announce the third year of our Summer Youth Employment Program (ATL SYEP24). In alignment with Mayor Andre Dickens' and Airport General Manager Balram Bheodari's focus on youth engagement and career exposure in aviation, we invite local high school students to participate in this enriching program.
Application Process:
To apply, visit The City of Atlanta Careers website and select the link for the AirPort Summer Youth Program. Each candidate will be prompted to select their first and second choices for job placement. Selected candidates will be notified of their virtual group interview time, scheduled for a date between February 27, 2024 and March 4, 2024. An orientation and onboarding session will be held on March 16, 2024. Due to the competitive nature of this program, candidates are encouraged to come prepared to discuss their interest in the opportunity, the value they can bring to the program, and what they hope to learn.
Eligibility:
- Must be a minimum of 16 years old
- Must be a rising 11th grader or a rising senior in high school
- Must reside in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, or Clayton County
- Must have a strong interest in learning about careers in aviation
- Must be able to adhere to local and federal rules, guidelines, and policies applicable to all employees at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
