Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager and Foreman, the Truck Driver/General Labor worker will perform a variety of duties to include driving truck, cutting grass/brush, maintaining road surfaces, perform traffic control, helping with snow removal operations and performing other work as required.
NOTE: THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION WILL WORK UP TO 6 MONTHS FROM MAY 20 - NOVEMBER 21ST WORKING A 4-10 HOUR DAY SCHEDULE.

Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills

  • Operate a truck hauling blacktop, gravel, sand, dirt or other related materials.
  • Cut weeds and/or brush with tractor mowers or other equipment.
  • Plow snow and spread salt and/or sand.
  • Operate a variety of equipment to maintain roads/bridges.
  • Perform traffic control.
  • Conduct daily inspections and service to trucks and/or equipment.
  • Provide minor repairs and maintenance to trucks and/or equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be available for overtime work.


Minimum qualifications & Requirements

Must have high school diploma or equivalent and previous truck driving experience and a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Knowledge of the operation, servicing and maintenance of related highway maintenance functions and equipment along with safety precautions necessary to avoid accidents or property damage in the operation of equipment. Ability to skillfully operate equipment. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and prepare clear and detailed reports as needed. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Ability to work the needed hours for the position and must be available for overtime work.

Benefits are pro-rated for regular employees working less than 40 hours per week. Regular positions working less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for benefits.
