Major Duties

Under general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Membership Specialist directly oversees The Soraya’s membership program and is responsible for segmented membership acquisition appeals to individuals identified from ticket-buyer data. The incumbent oversees the annual renewal campaign including phone solicitation. Other responsibilities include the following:
  • Works with The Soraya’s Marketing team and other 3 rd party designers to create membership collateral, and organizes tasks (including compiling and segmenting lists, preparing mail merges, etc.) for direct mail and digital solicitations.
  • Aims to meet goals set by Director of Marketing and Engagement and growing The Soraya’s membership program with major budgetary impact.
  • Organizes member benefits and recognition, including Porter Pavilion, and works with Front of House and Development teams to implement those benefits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
  • Equivalent to three (3) years of full-time, progressively responsible technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
  • Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required education, on a year for year basis.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty. Working knowledge of operational analysis and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of {budget, policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to theatrical membership programs, segmented membership acquisition appeals, and annual renewal campaigns.
  • Ability and specialized skills to expertly investigate and analyze problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.
  • Ability to: oversee and/or train others and provide lead work direction; interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures to develop conclusions and make recommendations; compile, write and present reports related to program or administrative specialty; and communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.


Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
  • The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
  • Classification/grade: 1038 / Admin Analyst/Spclst / 2
  • The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $4379 - $5775 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $4379 - $7922 per month.
  • HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
  • REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
  • The position is currently hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
