Job Overview

With general direction from the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, the incumbent provides direct oversight and administration in the development and delivery of high-profile Civic Engagement programs, including existing and future programming, as informed through the on-going implementation and revision of the Campus Civic Action Plan. In partnership with the Civic Engagement Faculty Liaison, Service-Learning Faculty Director, and First-Year and University Programs Faculty Director, the incumbent is independently responsible for a wide range of complex, data-informed, analytical administrative tasks associated with providing a quality student, faculty, and community partner experiences for Civic Engagement, Service Learning, and university-wide internships (available through UNIV 495). The incumbent serves as the primary administrative contact for Civic Engagement and provides additional administrative support for Service Learning and university-wide internships inquiries for both internal and external constituents. The incumbent is also a resource for university policies and procedures for the department and participates in program evaluation and development. As a result, the incumbent is expected to leverage relationships on campus and relationships in the community to build bridges, establish linkages, and identify potential long-term partnerships. A high-level of professionalism and excellent customer service are crucial in this position.

Position Summary

Associate Director, Experiential Learning (Administrative Analyst/Specialist Exempt I)

This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,500 - $6,333 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,170 - $7,545 per month
