EAGLE PATROL WEEKEND SUPERVISOR
Community Services Specialist I
Public Safety

Salary Range: $3,505 - $5,057/Monthly (Prorated accordingly)

Work Schedule : Part-Time, Friday - Sunday, Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions : Incumbent will assist in the coordination of the Eagle Patrol Program, including the daily monitoring of student assistants, with the following responsibilities: patrolling and protecting the campus community from hazards such as fire, theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other crimes; assisting in the enforcement of campus rules and regulation; reporting hazardous/dangerous conditions; checking, opening and securing campus facilities; responding to building and room security/fire alarms; providing general information and service to the public; unlocking and securing of buildings and doors; providing escorts; general supervisions of Eagle Patrol Student Assistants, including scheduling and providing an appropriate example for your employees to follow; and assist other personnel as needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience : High school graduate with good writing abilities. The incumbent must possess a California Driver’s License. The incumbent must have knowledge of and/or the ability to learn how to use applicable public safety equipment and systems for example deactivation/activation of security/alarm systems. The incumbent must possess excellent personal communication and customer service skills. The incumbent must have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with campus community; and use computer-based system programs, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current California State University employees who may apply for the position.
