University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Part-Time, Benefited position through June 30, 2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). 1 position available.

Salary: $18.94-$30.00 per hour

Location: CSUSB and PDC campuses

Program Summary:

The WorkAbility IV (WA-IV) program provides support through enhanced career preparation services to California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) students with disabilities that are clients of the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) that assists them in overcoming barriers, obtaining gainful employment within their academic major and job retention.

Work Schedule

25 hours per week. Monday through Thursday 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Some morning and weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities

Under job placement services, the position orients WA-IV students to the use of the University and other vocational websites and provides technology training relevant to the students’ career/vocational goals and assists students in a lab environment or one on one.
  • The incumbent will monitor, maintain, install, and support: Hardware and software; the networked server; computer systems; peripheral equipment; assistive technology; WA-IV’s website; the program’s database and social media sites; the Virtual Job Club and provide professional-level network support functions.
  • This position performs trouble-shooting to diagnose system problems, analyze hardware and software functionality, and identifies, locates, resolves and repairs problems within scope of authority.
  • The incumbent also monitors the domain environment; resolves configurations and connectivity issues and other traffic security and access problems; checks network for operating efficiency; makes corrective adjustments to data management settings; and assures system integrity.
  • The position is responsible for the graphic design of program marketing materials to include flyers and PowerPoints and ensuring that all materials are created in accessible formats.
  • The incumbent will review students’ status on a monthly basis, assist the program staff with documenting progress, and provides statistical reports as needed.
  • This position represents the program by attending WA-IV-related meetings on and off campus and will perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: B.A./B.S. in computer science/information or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Applicant must possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
    • Applicant must be a self-starter and have the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
    • Applicant must have an advance/expert level of proficiency in using standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and the ability to use the internet.
    • Applicant must possess the skills to build upon a working database and websites.
  • Other:
    • Applicants must have the ability to travel and provide their own transportation.
    • In addition, applicant must have valid CDL and valid car registration including adequate vehicle

      insurance required by UEC policy.
