The Swim Lesson Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the operation of the swim lesson program. This position involves coordinating and supervising swim instructors, ensuring the safety of participants, and maintaining a positive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees swim lesson programs and ensures that instructors are following established protocols and safety guidelines during swim lessons; ensures a high level of customer satisfaction by interacting with participants and their parents or guardians to address any concerns or inquiries.
  • Conducts regular evaluations, in-service trainings, and staff meetings; fosters a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Schedules instructors, (considering the availability of both participants and instructors), verifies timesheets, and steps in as needed to ensure smooth operation of the swim lesson program.
  • Maintains accurate records of participant progress and any incidents that occur during swim lessons.
  • Manages class transfers, verifies that all students are enrolled and in the correct class, and notifies Aquatics Management if there are discrepancies.


Qualifications

Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum of two years’ experience in swim lessons.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Licenses & Certifications: None required.

Language: Proficiency with verbal and written English language required. Additional proficiency with Spanish and American Sign Language preferred.

Environmental or Physical Demands : Works in primarily outdoor environments with exposure to heat and a variety of weather conditions.
