The Letchworth Trails Laborer will work as part of a team to perform a wide range of trail maintenance and construction tasks. The incumbent will report directly to the assigned Park Supervisor or Trails Specialist and will work with up to four trail crew members and assist volunteer group projects. Housing is not provided. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: • Dimensional lumber stairs and retaining wall construction. • Bridge and boardwalk construction. • New trail construction. • Tread and drainage improvements. • Upkeep of stone staircases and retaining walls. • General facilities maintenance. • Hazard tree removal. • Off-season work will include winter trail grooming and risk tree removal activities in coordination with Parks operation staff. • Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, with both hand and power tools.
