Notes to Applicants
The Survey Professional position supports the City of Austin Public Works Department in the Quality Management Division. This position will review easements, easement releases dedications, right-of-way acquisitions, right-of-way and alley vacations, license agreements, fee acquisitions and annexations.
This position will research record information, process survey data, prepare CAD files and field notes and assist field crew for boundary, topographic and design surveys.
The Surveyor-in-Training position will be responsible for the duties mentioned above as the Survey Profession but will work under the supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.

Pay Range
SIT : $24.82 - $32.26

Surveyor: $29.56 - $38.42

Hours
Monday - Friday (6:30 AM -3:30 PM)

Hours may vary depending on work demands and business needs.

The minimum qualifications for the Surveyor are: Two (2) years of experience as a certified Surveyor in Training (SIT). In addition, you must be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in good standing with the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying (TPBLS); or become licensed within six (6) months. The minimum qualifications for the Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) are: Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Land surveying, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus one (1) year of experience under the direction of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS); or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field plus two (2) years experience under the direction of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS). Must be a certified Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) in good standing with the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying (TBPLS).
