All you need for success: Associate's Degree in Diesel Mechanics, Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or Completion of a formal post-secondary technical training program in automobile or heavy equipment-related repair (of at least 30 credit hours or one school year in duration) and one year of experience in automotive or heavy equipment repair. A passing grade on the written portion of the commercial driver's license (CDL) exam is required prior to the hire date. Must pass the driving portion of the Class B CDL exam with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]) within 60 days of hire into the position. Valid vehicle inspection license within 60 days of hire into the position. Successful completion of a work simulation examination and medical-physical examination.
