This position is responsible for the management of Cathedral Gorge State Park, the Regional visitor Center near Panaca, Nevada and Beaver Dam State Park 36 miles from Caliente. The role entails comprehensive management responsibilities, including the supervision of both permanent and seasonal personnel, administration of budgetary considerations, oversight of fee collection, and the maintenance and operation of facilities. As the incumbent, you will be tasked with decision-making pertaining to resources, facility upkeep, equipment, and materials. This commissioned position includes law enforcement duties, with responsibilities for public safety, requiring flexibility in working hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays, amidst diverse weather conditions. In addition to these duties, the successful candidate must ensure a high standard of customer service, develop and present various visitor programs, and engage in ground/facility maintenance and custodial responsibilities.
