Job Summary The Contracts Specialist provides administrative and analytical support to Contracts and Procurement Services. Job Summary The Contracts Specialist provides administrative and analytical support to Contracts and Procurement Services. Working independently under limited supervision, this position is responsible for a variety of services to campus departments to ensure the procurement authority vested with the University is effectively implemented and administered in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Contracts Specialist prepares and processes contract documents for construction, construction related professional services, leases, student agreements, memorandums of understanding, license agreements, revenue agreements, long-term finance agreements and other contractual obligations required by the University. Bereavement Leave - In the event of death in an employee’s immediate family, the agency grants up to three (3) working days, with pay, to handle family affairs and to attend the funeral. When an employee needs to travel outside the radius of the five (5) member agencies due to the death of an immediate family member, the Authority grants up to five (5) working days, with pay. Military Leave - Employees will be paid for the annually required active period. At the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer, and with Board notification, paid military leave may be granted beyond what is provided by the applicable state law.
