The Role: The Project Analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing project data within the Engineering Department to support informed management decisions. This role collaborates with multiple departments across the LVCC to ensure effective communication and the smooth implementation of project procedures.

- Turn Data Into Insights:
- Collect and analyze data related to engineering projects to support decision-making.
- Develop and communicate standardized workflow processes for all engineering projects.
- Evaluate project data to prioritize tasks, accelerate critical path activities, and maintain project schedules. Provide management with recommendations for project prioritization.
- Communicate Effectively:
- Communicate project status and updates to a range of stakeholders involved in capital construction initiatives.
- Develop and deliver concise presentations highlighting the progress of construction projects throughout the LVCC.
- Capital Project Budget Support:
- Conduct research and maintain tracking for the department’s 10-year capital plan.
- Monitor and manage project budgets from initiation through to completion, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and timely reporting to stakeholders.
- Track and manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle; organize, distribute, and receive submittals from project stakeholders; and prepare detailed meeting agendas to support efficient communication and project coordination.
- Analyze and evaluate all departmental purchases, assess needs, and provide recommendations.
- Audit invoices to verify the accuracy of contracted rates and timesheets, and monitor responses related to payment requests.
- Technology and Systems Support:
- Administer construction management software, troubleshoot issues in coordination with ITD and vendors, and evaluate updates to recommend changes as needed.
- Maintain the Engineering SharePoint Team site and provide ambassadors with timely updates on building-related information.
- Project Documentation and Compliance:
- Review and evaluate all project-related documentation, providing guidance to management on proper procedures for various administrative tasks as needed.
- Draft board agenda items related to construction activities.
- Analyze certified payroll for prevailing wage projects to ensure compliance with NRS statutes.
What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a related role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to resolve issues and build effective working relationships with colleagues, vendors, clients, and the public.
- Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills, with the flexibility to adapt to shifting office priorities and support evolving staff needs.
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
