We are currently seeking experienced candidates for the position of CHRS Change Management Coordinator. The CSU Chancellor's Office, located on the waterfront adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific in downtown Long Beach, is the headquarters for the nation's largest and most diverse system of higher education. The CSU Chancellor's Office offers a premium benefit package that includes outstanding vacation, health, and dental plans; a fee waiver education program; membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (PERS); and 15 paid holidays a year.

    Salary

    The anticipated salary hiring range is up to $6,250 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    The salary range for this classification is $5,537 to $10,014 per month.

    Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Exempt II

    Position Information

    The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a CHRS Change Management Coordinator to support the CHRS program, a transformational project consolidating all 23 CSU campuses into a single HR system, by assisting in the execution of change management plans that have already been developed. This role is ideal for an organized and proactive individual who can step into a structured environment and help drive the delivery of change activities such as communications, stakeholder engagement and adoption, measurement, and status tracking.

    Working at the Chancellors Office, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with project managers and campus project teams to ensure the smooth implementation and adoption of CHRS.

    This position is approved for telecommuting (two days telecommuting, three days in office (in-person)) with onsite work at the main headquarters located in Long Beach, California.

    THIS POSITION IS LONG-TERM TEMPORARY WITH BENEFITS.

    Responsibilities

    Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, CHRS Implementation and Change Initiatives, the CHRS Change Management Coordinator will:

    -Assist in carrying out tasks outlined in existing change management plans, including communication efforts and stakeholder engagement.

    -Support the delivery of change-related events such as workshops and trainings.

    -Help manage project plans, track key activities, and monitor progress toward change milestones.

    -Assist in guiding campuses through the use of Chancellor’s Office-developed tools.

    -Set the agenda for campus change management meetings, coordinate speakers.

    -Review campus change management work, provide advisory guidance.

    -Collect and organize feedback from stakeholders to help identify potential issues or resistance.

    -Maintain change management documentation, reports, and updates to support CHRS.

    -Take detailed notes during internal and campus-facing change management meetings, follow up with action items.

    -Act as a resource for campus implementation teams to review and understand project timelines and deliverables.

    -Monitor change management program issues and risks, prepare escalation documentation as required.

    -Schedule program meetings and planning sessions.

    -Create, monitor and update campus status reports.

    -Monitor team/ program effectiveness and provide suggestions for improvement and/ or take appropriate action.

    -Review program documents/ deliverables independently or in collaboration with a team to evaluate preparedness for submission.

    Qualifications

    This position requires:

    -Bachelor’s degree required, or combination of education and years or related work experience.

    -4 years of experience supporting change management, project coordination, or institutional initiatives-preferably in higher education.

    Required Skills:

    -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    -Excellent written and verbal communication skills with thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation and spelling.

    -Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

    -Experience with Zoom or similar product.

    Preferred Skills:

    -Understanding of higher education environments and stakeholder dynamics.

    -Exposure to change management frameworks (e.g., ADKAR,) is a plus.

    -Comfortable working in a structured setting and taking direction from existing plans while proactively managing execution details.

    -Team-oriented, adaptable, and responsive to feedback and shifting priorities.

    -Experience with Smartsheet.

    -Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

    -Able to maintain momentum and enthusiasm around change efforts.
