Stafford County is actively seeking applicants for the position of Director of Information Technology (IT). The mission of the IT Department is to provide information technology leadership, products, and services for Stafford County government and its citizens while ensuring the security and integrity of government resources and data. This position serves as the Director of the County’s IT department and is responsible for directing the operation of the programs and staff of the department. Work is performed under the management of the Chief Information Services Officer.
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, Master’s degree preferred, and ten (10) years of increasingly responsible experience in a Chief Information Officer or Director of Information Technology role, within a complex and diverse organization which values technology as a tool for efficiency and support.
The salary range for the position is $122,200 to $185,000, negotiable dependent upon the individual’s qualifications and experience. Benefits include but are not limited to participation in the Virginia Retirement System; medical, dental, and vision; group life and disability insurances; vacation, administrative, holiday, and sick leave; employee assistance program; professional dues and conference expenses.
