    THE POSITION
    We invite you to join the high performing team at the Town of Prescott Valley, serving as our Recreation Supervisor within the Community Services Department. This position is responsible for organizing, implementing and evaluating programs, events and activities that promote recreational opportunities for residents and the general public.

    Examples of Duties

    In this position you will:
    Plan and manage town-wide special events through Parks and Recreation.

    Direct and coordinate daily operations and maintenance activities for assigned programs, facilities, and events.

    Coordinate with a variety of vendors, performers, and contractors to ensure a seamless and high quality event.

    Manage scheduling of town staff and volunteers for the effective staffing and management of town-wide special events.

    Perform risk management tasks for all special event areas based on industry standards.

    Provide leadership during all pre-event meetings, ensure all stakeholders are aware of event details and are able to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.

    Inspect and monitor day of event operations.

    Ensure programs are carried out in a cost-efficient manner. Develop goals or outcomes which are measurable and enhance the quality of cost-effective services.

    Typical Qualification

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Leisure Studies, Physical Education, Recreation or a closely related field with a minimum three (3) years' experience in organized recreation, sports, or recreation administration. Direct experience as a team leader or supervisor within a municipal parks and recreation environment strongly preferred.

    First Aid/CPR and AED Certification within six months of employment.

    Skill in analyzing complex administrative information and issues, defining problems and evaluating alternatives, and recommending methods, procedures, and techniques for resolution of issues.

    Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority.

    Ability to work the allocated hours of the position and respond after hours as needed.

    Compensation:
    The Town's complete compensation package includes salary, benefits, and a high performance culture. The Town package includes a no-cost to individual health insurance plan and a generous retirement package including participation in the Arizona State Retirement System.

    The salary range is $63,294.40 to $88,608.00.
    The expected hiring range is $63,294.40 to $72,800.00.
