Job Description

Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

The Special Education Data Section within the Office of Special Education supports the mission of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Vision of the Division of Learning Services by providing training, support, and guidance in reporting and utilizing special education data. The Special Education Section also assists in setting state IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) Indicator targets, meeting state and federal reporting requirements, as well as creating and distributing state and LEA (local educational agencies) profiles.

  • Create business requirement and project management artifacts including business cases, status reports, process mapping, return on investment (ROI) analysis, and risk analysis for system enhancements.
  • Effectively investigate and track web application issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify and facilitate LEAN opportunities in the Office of Special Education (OSE) for process improvements.
  • Promote the mindset of continuous improvement processes for all OSE projects and operations.
  • Collaborate with coordinator in the integration of next generation business systems.
  • Analyze manual and automated processes for integration into a web interface.
  • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, computer science, mathematics, or a related field


OR

  • Four or more years of progressive professional experience in business analysis, continuous improvement, and technical system and customer support.
