This part-time position offers the opportunity to collaborate with public health professionals across the State of Missouri to ensure the success and continual improvement of the public health system. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) is preparing to apply for reaccreditation under the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) Standards and Measures Version 2022. This position will assist the DHSS Operational Excellence and Accreditation Coordinator in preparing documents, designing plans, and coordinating with the statewide stakeholder groups to meet the reaccreditation requirements.

  • Represent DHSS across multiple subject matter areas as part of the final site visit requirement for PHAB reaccreditation
  • Collaborate with DHSS program staff to collect relevant data and program information
  • Attend and facilitate PHAB Domain meetings with DHSS program staff
  • Collaborate with DHSS Internal and External Stakeholders on current and future Public Health Initiatives
  • Engage in creative writing to document program narrative


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication and instructional skills
  • Experience with public health programming or meeting facilitation is preferred
  • Experience in highly collaborative working or learning environments
  • A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to multitask

  • For supervisory positions it’s recommended to include: Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.
