Job Location: This position will be located at Jefferson City, MO. Candidates must be willing to commute or relocate to Jefferson City. Hybrid.

  • Work with the Office on Women’s Health team to establish and implement an informant interview program and develop procedures, practices, and work plans.
  • Conduct informant interviews with next of kin of moms who have died while pregnant or in the one year postpartum.
  • Develop and implement a data collection process for the informant interviews.
  • Assist in preparing the PAMR annual report and dissemination of data.
  • Write policies and procedures for the successful implementation of the informant interview program.
  • Implement special projects as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years or more years of professional experience in public health, mental health, education, social services, public or business administration, health care, or a closely related field. (Relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for any deficiencies in the required education.)
  • Experience in qualitative interviewing techniques, empathetic communication, and bereavement counseling
  • Has a deep commitment to health equity and understands the drivers of inequity
  • Has a deep working knowledge of and/or lived experience with MO communities of color
  • This position requires a high level of written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate is someone who can build impactful partnerships and has excellent networking and communication skills. Candidates will also have innovative problem-solving and advanced critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience using technology and a variety of computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing, and online survey platforms) for coordinating activities and project reporting.
  • Has a deep commitment to health equity and understands the drivers of inequity
