  • Focus areas will include (and not be limited to) employee well-being, cultivating culture, and creating scalable processes for building deep talent bench strength.
  • Collaborate with statewide talent development leaders to equip them with knowledge and resources to develop and implement successful training and succession planning efforts.
  • Evaluate and create core learning competencies for newly created statewide curriculum.
  • Evaluate external market best practices to identify and implement end-to-end talent strategies to foster a high-performing culture. Research may include examination of how the organization acquires, retains, and develops the right people, at the right time, in the right location to match the organization’s needs at scale.
  • Work with leaders and external providers to conduct 360 evaluations, assessments, and other related talent tools. Implementation of these tools includes debriefing of results and developing coaching sessions for leaders. This may include design and delivery of e-learning and in-person trainings.
  • Lead departments in developing learning plans and assist with the execution of performance management, including objective setting and assisting employees with developmental goal setting for career growth.
  • Employ a variety of assessment techniques to determine effectiveness of team member life cycle and recommend/implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing training and succession planning.
  • Proven proficiencies in understanding various assessment tools from assessment to delivery of training workshops. Familiarity with programs such as: DISC, EQ-i, StrengthsFinder, Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, etc.
  • Strong program management skills with demonstrated ability to listen, plan, prioritize, organize, and execute enterprise-wide strategies.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple, complex projects concurrently, while developing associated content, format, and methods.
  • Ability to interact with leaders to determine needs and translate those needs into process improvement proposals.
  • Ability to strategize and develop innovative solutions for diverse audiences.
  • Strong formal presentation and facilitating skills, collaboration and partnership, and written and verbal communication. Ability to adapt communication styles across multiple stakeholder groups. Excellent client consulting and partnership skills.
  • Trusted partner and collaborator: Ability to establish credibility and relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed).
  • Proven competency in succession planning and training development.
