Job Description

Full-time position available with the Health Department, Behavioral Health & Injury Prevention Division located at 2400 Troost Ave
Salary Range: $20.48-$30.71
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support across the division.
  • Performs routine operational tasks.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Completes monthly division meeting notes/recap and forwarding to CFHE Team and Director of Health Executive Assistant for Administrative Officer and Senior Administrative Assistant.
  • Attends bi-weekly ADMIN meetings.
  • Assists with Creation and monitoring key performance indicators for the division.
  • Creates and maintains division wide procedure manual.
  • Works on departmental planning committees and workgroups,
  • Assists with implementation of divisional process improvements.
  • Monitors Aim4Peace, Kevin, Heidi and Rashid's calendars alerting them of schedule conflicts and key meetings.
  • Monitors OVP personnel appraisal due dates and reminds supervisors two-three weeks prior to an appraisal date to start working on appraisals.
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings for Kevin, Rashid, and Heidi as needed.
  • Maintains tracking documents / spreadsheets (E.g. MS Teams Grant Tracking Channel and potential grant applications)
  • Assists with processing of new hires.
  • Completes VFKC monthly meeting minutes.
  • Assists with planning of VFKC meetings.
  • Assists with VFKC meeting prep.
  • Sets up for VFKC meetings, E.g. ensuring there is a sign in sheet, copies of the agenda and schedule etc.



Qualifications

REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience to include professional experience in the development and/or operation of administrative systems, programs, policies and practice.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
